Ferring Community Centre at The Glebelands is a multi-use facility for the vibrant and friendly village of Ferring.
The Centre, in Greystoke Road, Ferring, is run by Ferring villagers for the benefit of the community. The management committee, called Glebelands Centre Ltd, work ably and responsibly to secure successful services and activities at the Centre both now and for the future. The Centre also co-exists with the very popular and successful Ferring Retirement whose President is also a Director of Glebelands Centre Ltd.
There is a dedicated Centre Manager, Brad Gilbert, who is the key contact for all regular and casual bookings to use the Centre – which is available seven days a week. Facilities available within the Centre include:
- New kitchen, equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave and sink for food preparation
- A large hall with adjacent kitchen area equipped with kettles and crockery
- Comfortable seating with small tables adjacent to kitchen area
- Two small meeting rooms
- WC facilities
- Chairs and tables
A wide range of activities for all interests and age groups can be catered for at the Centre, including events such as family parties. Private car parking facilities are available.
The Centre is an excellent example of the local community running an important local facility to sustain and further develop its future to meet local needs.
